Fast Fat Loss Results Shake from Tempe, AZ Personal Trainer

Holiday Meal Damage Control Super Shake

Well, this is what I call damage-control season.  Starting with Halloween candy, transitioning to pumpkin pie and turkey,  on to Christmas parties, then Christmas day, and finally booze and bar food to ring in the New Year.  It is six weeks of nutritional debauchery and it is completely uncalled for.  It is classic American over-indulgence at its finest.

I am not saying you can’t enjoy a quality meal and a drink with your family and friends.  I am saying that going into an all-out, gluttonous, free-for-all, pig-out is bullshit.  Believe me, you are not being deprived if you don’t partake in the "Annual Pumpkin Pie Eat-off."

What I do suggest is that you take a moment to remember what this time of year is all about.  And I don’t care if you are Christian or not.  It’s about family, being thankful and sharing, and then starting new again.  So let me help you manage this situation with something that I use in my nutritional arsenal.

It’s a simple shake.  I am not going to bore you with the nutritional details. Just know that this shake covers a lot of bases.  I’ve also included an easy implementation strategy using this shake to help stop the gluttony.

Shake Ingredients

2-3 scoops protein powder

20-32 ounces WATER

2 tablespoons flaxmeal (optional)

1 serving greens drink (like Greens First)

2-4 capsules of fish oil

Drink early and often.  If you know you are going to a party later in the evening, drink a shake like the one described above in early morning, in mid-afternoon, and then one more when you get off work.  This will do two things:

1. Stabilize your hormones.

2. Keep you full to minimize consumption at the party.  This can include reducing the volume of alcohol because of the volume of liquid involved with the shake.

Fill ‘er up before you go.  For all of you who think you are saving yourself by not eating anything until that big holiday meal in the afternoon or evening, you are sorely mistaken.  What you are really setting yourself up for is major bodyfat accumulation.  If, instead, you mixed a couple of the shakes and drank them during the day, you could have a serious tool in the fight against bodyfat.  Here’s what you do:

-Mix up two equal-size shakes as shown above.

-Drink one within an hour after getting out of bed.

-Drink the second one three hours later.

-Then eat your family meal.

Bam!  Instant damage control.  It doesn’t get much simpler than that.

Good luck, and enjoy your holiday season.

Green Tea AM Pick Me Up from Tempe, AZ Personal Trainer

Anderson’s Orange Juice

This is my tried-and-true, never-make-you-crash morning pick me up.

16-24 ounces green tea (I like to use Trader Joe’s green tea as it already has a little orange essence)

1-1 1/2 servings Power Drive (Power Drive is a neuro-transmitter support supplement.  Long story short, it helps you focus)

This list by coach Jimmy Smith (http://www.jimmysmithtraining.com/)
presents all the reasons you absolutely need to be drinking green tea.

1. Green Tea and Cancer

Green tea
helps reduce the risk of cancer. The antioxidants in green tea are 100 times more effective than vitamin C and 25 times better than vitamin E. This helps your body protect cells from damage believed to be linked to cancer.

2. Green Tea and Heart Disease
Green tea helps prevent heart disease and stroke by lowering the level of cholesterol. Even after a heart attack, it prevents cell death and speeds up the recovery of heart cells.

3. Green Tea and Anti-Aging
Green tea contains antioxidants known as polyphenols which fight against free radicals. What this means is that it helps you fight against aging and promotes longevity.

4. Green Tea and Weight Loss
Green tea helps your body lose weight. Green tea burns fat and boosts your metabolism rate naturally. It can help you burn up to 70 calories in just one day.

5. Green Tea and Skin
Antioxidants in green tea protect the skin from the harmful effects of free radicals, which cause wrinkling and skin aging. Green tea also helps fight against skin cancer.

6. Green Tea and ArthritisGreen tea can help prevent and reduce the risk of rheumatoid arthritis. Green tea has benefits for your health as it protects the cartilage by blocking the enzyme that destroys cartilage.

7. Green Tea and Bones
The key to this is the high fluoride content found in green tea. It helps keep your bones strong. If you drink green tea every day, this will help you preserve your bone density.

8. Green Tea and Cholesterol
Green tea can help lower your cholesterol level. It also improves the ratio of good cholesterol to bad cholesterol by reducing bad cholesterol level.

9. Green Tea and Obesity
Green tea prevents obesity by stopping the movement of glucose in fat cells. If you are on a

healthy diet, exercise regularly and drink green tea, it is unlikely you’ll be obese.
10. Green Tea and Diabetes
Green tea improves lipid and glucose metabolisms, prevents sharp increases in
blood sugar
level, and balances your metabolism rate.

11. Green Tea and Alzheimer’s
Green tea helps boost your memory. And although there’s no cure for Alzheimer’s, it helps slow the process of reduced acetylcholine in the brain, which leads to Alzheimer’s.

12. Green Tea and Parkinson’s
Antioxidants in green tea help prevent against cell damage in the brain, which could cause Parkinson’s. Parkinson’s is less likely to progress in people who drink green tea.

13. Green Tea and Liver Disease
Green tea helps prevent transplant failure in people with liver failure. Researchers showed that green tea destroys harmful free radicals in fatty livers.

14. Green Tea and High Blood Pressure
Green tea helps prevent
high blood pressure
. Drinking green tea helps keep your blood pressure down by repressing angiotensin, which leads to high blood pressure.

15. Green Tea and Food Poisoning
Catechin found in green tea can kill bacteria which cause food poisoning and kills the toxins produced by those bacteria.

16. Green Tea and Blood Sugar
Blood sugar tends to increase with age, but polyphenols and polysaccharides in green tea help lower your blood sugar level.

17. Green Tea and Immunity
Polyphenols and flavenoids found in green tea help boost your immune system, making you healthier and stronger in fighting against infections.

18. Green Tea and Cold and Flu
Green tea prevents you from getting a cold or flu. Vitamin C in green tea helps you treat the flu and the common cold.

19. Green Tea and Asthma
Theophylline in green tea relaxes the muscles which support the bronchial tubes, reducing the severity of asthma.

20. Green Tea and Ear Infection
Green tea helps with ear infection problems. For natural ear cleaning, soak a cotton ball in green tea and clean the infected ear.

21. Green Tea and Herpes
Green tea increases the effectiveness of topical interferon treatment of herpes. First apply a green tea compress and then let the skin dry before the interferon treatment.
22. Green Tea and Tooth Decay
Green tea destroys
bacteria and viruses
that cause many dental diseases. It also slows the growth of bacteria which lead to bad breath.

23. Green Tea and Stress
L-theanine, which is a kind of amino acid, in green tea can help relieve stress and anxiety.

24. Green Tea and Allergies
Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG)
found in green tea relieves allergies. So, if you have allergies, you should really consider drinking green tea.

25. Green Tea and HIV
Scientists in Japan have found that EGCG in green tea can stop HIV from binding to healthy immune cells. What this means is that green tea can help stop the HIV virus from spreading.

Tempe, AZ Personal Trainer Guilt Free Pasta

Have Your Italian and Eat it Too!

Ingredients:

Baby Zucchini, diced (I use 2 per dish)

Extra Lean Ground Beef (I use 8-12 ounce per dish)

Onion, thinly sliced (I use 1/2-1/4 of a small onion)

Pizza or Marinara Sauce (I use 2-4 tablespoons)

Start by caramelizing the onion and then add the zucchini.  Cook until it has some light browning then add the ground beef.  Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste.  Serve in a bowl and top with the sauce.

Enjoy this one-bowl-wonder of a meal without the guilt of a full bowl of pasta.

Good luck
